About San Francisco

San Francisco is a city that needs little in the way of an introduction. With its iconic Golden Gate Bridge, travellers from around the world are drawn to this eclectic city. A seven-mile peninsula sweeps the San Francisco Bay and the city is hilly with some of America’s steepest streets – point in case being Lombard Street, famed as ‘the crookedest street in the world’. Fog ceremoniously hides the skyline and it’s particularly picturesque over the Golden Gate Bridge so ensure you take a few snapshots!

San Francisco highlights include a cruise out to Alcatraz where some of America’s most notorious criminals were locked up, a walk through the Castro – the city’s most loud and proud neighbourhood as well as a visit to destination neighbourhoods like Chinatown and Fisherman’s Wharf.

Getting out of the city and further gems unfold. California wine country is dominated by Napa Valley and for good reason. Typically driving and wine don’t go together but here at Napa there is a wine train! Simply park up at the train station and explore the countless wineries by train. When you return at the end, you’re simply ready to camp for the night whilst others have to make their way back to their accommodation or even back to San Francisco.

Heading to San Francisco in the winter months, it’s an absolute must to get out to Lake Tahoe and the numerous ski fields offering fine powder conditions for the northern hemisphere winter.  The numbers are in your favour – with more than 300 hours of sunshine, 400 inches of snow and over 500 runs every winter’s day is a blue bird day!

After-hours Pickup and Drop-off Information

Unfortunately JUCY does not offer pick ups outside of our business hours.

For drop offs outside of our office hours, you can pay the USD 55 late return fee and return after hours. Simply park to the left of the branch, lock the car up and deposit your keys in the marked place. Please do not leave the keys in the vehicle
